Welcome

Welcome to Epic Kinship website and forums. Epic Kinship is an established and structured kinship that has been around since closed beta. We are an "end-game" kinship structured around the exploration of all higher level content, raids, instances and pvp fun!! We have GM crafters in every profession. We strive to experience everything this game has to offer and are always looking for more skilled players to join us.

Here we keep a running photo blog of our achievements as well as our public and member forums. Feel free to stop by and say hello, or check out the numerous screen shots accumulated through our journeys.

Halls of Crafting Completed
We said we'd be back, and as before, headed in there late at night. Despite a tipsy LM (and Min by the end) and a lvl57 hunter, we blew through boss 1, figured out not to stand on top of the barbecue that is the only thing that will kill you on boss 2, and then proceeded to figure out boss 3. Thaguzg was an interesting fight, but after a few tries he and his adds were no match for our group. Also, a very nice pocket piece dropped that may well end our favorite Burg's endless farming of Skumfil for the elusive Orb.

Minature Brass Anvil
Book 8.6 completed
A number of groups have finished off book 8 now. A revisit from book 6, once again Gwathnor falls dead at our feet, this time to groups of 3.

Halls of Crafting
We took a late night trip into the Halls of Crafting instance. I would say hats off to Turbine on a very fun 6 man instance except that after wiping on the 2nd boss (who was almost soloed by our guard after the rest of the group roasted until the min ran out of power to keep him healed) we couldn't get back past the buggy gate in front of the first boss' room. Being late, we called it a night and will head back in soon.

Kinship Turtle Run, post Bk8
So we decided to take an all kinship crack at the new and improved post Book 8 Nornuan fight. We setup the groups, and charged in. Five minutes later, dead turtle and looting the chest. Gratz to Elehad on a 2nd Age champion spear, and we also distributed 3 First Age barter tokens. No First Age items dropped in the chest, however. Managed to get everyone grouped up for a screenshot:

Caerog Defeated (Water Wheels)
An intrepid group of 3 went deep into the Water Wheels instance, looking for adventure (and to finish up 8.4 for Edwards.) We stumbled across the Caerog, a dangerous beast with pistons of doom surrounding him. Despite his best efforts to crush us and our spirits, our group of 3 prevailed against him - Edwards, Maelstrom and Lywyn. For our troubles, we each got a barter gem for a rad piece.

He tried to jump on the ledge to avoid our vicious attacks, but we forced him down.

In the end, he was no match for our coordinated attack!
Ergoth Defeated, Hall of Mirrors instance completed
Book 8 sent us out into the chills of Zirak-zigil again, and there we found the Hall of Mirrors, with a unique puzzle involving the mirrors that was fun figuring out. As we neared the bottom, a growing sense of unease fell upon the party (well, it was patch day, and bugs foiled the first group down to the boss, wouldn't you be getting uneasy?) We dropped in, and started fighting. The boss greened out, but the adds attacked. Rinse, repeat over and over (we had a fairly low DPS group, but lots of healing enabled us to outlast Ergoth and the adds.) We (Maelstrom, Banquo and Amiga) were rewarded with a barter item for a new +15 radiance armour piece.

Thought this would be the kill shot, but the boss greened out at 293 morale to let us play with the adds one last time

And after that, a quick shot or two, and it was over

Playing Music
So...after a productive night of running radiance instances for new kinmembers and alts, we decided to kick back and play a little music. After some coordination, we got a 4 piece band going with Maelstrom, SarahJo, Narufind and Agrimin and played some tunes. We even had a small audience for a bit.

Turtle Soup Served
Thanks to our friends in Aubades, we had some turtle soup tonight. Nornuan went down quickly and easily, with no deaths. Very well coordinated raid considering it was our first time running a raid together.

Return to Helegrod
We decided to make a run through Helegrod for old times sake (and Mirdinant +hope turn-in) recently. Started out with about 8-9 people, and it slowly grew as others logged on and friends joined in. Special thanks to the members of Potatowned that joined us, and gratz to those in the group who had never seen Thorog go down. A large number of the group had never even been to Thorog, so they were quite thrilled to experience the fight and see Thorog defeated. Thanks to all that came, it was fun getting back in there, even at 60.

Book 7 Nasties
Epic is still having fun with LOTRO, and while going through book 7 encountered a number of new nasties. One that was quite cool looking:

Dark Delvings Defeated
We are running all of the lvl60 6-man instances working on getting the kin geared up for the Vile Maw. Here is a screenshot of the final boss in the Dark Delving going down.
